WORLD LISTENING DAY

collaborative explorations of acoustic ecology & deep listening in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
For World Listening Day 2013, the Walker presented a free public program that offered engaging ways for visitors to celebrate and practice listening. Activities tuned into the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden’s soundscapes using acoustic ecology, imagination, and mindfulness. For a complete list of activities with descriptions, please visit this link.

Activities were designed and led by special guests: Dr. Mark Bee and Dr. Norman Lee; Philip Blackburn; Vivian Corringham; and Mark Nunberg. Leading up to World Listening Day, a series of blog posts featured interviews with: Marc Sanchez, Mike Hallenbeck, and Brian Heller. Additional thanks to colleagues and interns in the Walker's department of Education and Community Programs.
